Carabiner’s Fairfield is psyched to have Mingmar Dorji Sherpa at the gym Thursday, August 18 @ 7:30pm for a meet & greet + Mt Everest slideshow. Mingmar has summited Everest (worlds tallest mountain) three times and worked on IMAX film crews.  Very recently he worked as a guide on the crew that filmed The Wildest Dream recreating the Mallory/Irving expedition of 1922-24 and submitting Mt Everest (29,029ft) with Conrad Anker.

Climbing in Cuba?  Yes!  These kids crush because they LOVE to climb…even though its illegal in their country.  It may not be Yosemite or the Himalaya, but I’m grateful Connecticut has some rad gyms and great local climbing for us to enjoy…without being chased out by the cops.
